A restful night sleep is sedentary state of mind and body. We aware that good restful night sleep is essential for feeling REST & RESTORATION for our body and mind on day to day hectic lifestyle.
A recent survey found that an average Britons gets just six hours and 19 minutes sleep at night, busy lifestyles, hectic work schedules, stress are the primary reasons for not getting a full eight hours rest. The poll of 2000 UK adults found that they get their recommended eight hours of sleep merely in two nights a week on other hand 38 percent stating that they never achieve this amount.
Sleep periods and cycles:
Physiologically Sleep occurs in repeating periods, in which our body alternates in two distinctive modes called REM (rapid eye movement sleep) & Non - REM sleep (Non rapid eye movement sleep).
There are 4 main stages of sleep cycle each one have their unique effects on our physical and mental well being. The structures of person’s sleep stages and cycles known as their sleep architecture. While deep sleep and REM sleep involve more profound changes in activity levels, experts believe that each stage plays a part in a healthy sleep architecture that generates quality sleep.
The body regulates sleep pattern with two key drivers: Sleep-wake homeostasis and circadian altering system.

Gently wind down: taking warm bath with salt/lavender, Drink warm drink, keep fresh air, keep dark room, keep ear plugs, reading before you go to bed, listen to relaxing music and avoid stimulants like alcohol, coffee, Green tea and exercise, watching TV, Phone,
Technology, a lack of exercise and eating late are also among the reasons Britons are struggling to get a night of much needed rest.
